Here's an article I just found on Jay at the GP...
Jay Kay, Jamiroquai’s front man is no stranger to Formula One racing. The slightly race-addicted singer is a regular visitor to the British Grand Prix, so it was no surprise to see him strolling through the paddock. “It’s no secret that I love racing, doing a little bit myself, he said. “So when the guys start their engines at Silverstone it’s a question of honour for me to be there. For musicians the sound of those cars must have something magical. It creates vibes that go straight to your brain. I guess that’s why you find so many of us at races. You can bet that I’ll be here again next year - if not at one of the other races this season somewhere around the globe. Source: http://www.formula1.com/news/4490.html SAMANTHA
Oh my god what kind of suit? Please Jay don´t wear those colours, oh my eyes, where are my glases? ->
But he is right with the sounds of those F1 cars, I´m the daughter from an car mechanic and as a little girl I was looking over the shoulders from my dad when he was reparing the racing car from our neighbour, I couldn´t wait at the moment when they was ready and they start it brrrrrruuummmm lol The same happened in Monaco this year, if I heard the sound from the F1 cars or a Ferrari so I got a goose skin all over the body ( a cheap way to loose the hairs lol) And in Monaco you can hear it at every curve hahaha, so Ladys you have to go to Monaco, there you get more satisfaction as with a Lover LOOOOL By the way, what is Jay`s height? Or is she wearing Plateau Shoes?
The girl's name is Jodie Kidd. She's a model 6'1" (approx. 185cm) and she's married. They're just good friends, she's a race car fan just like Jay.
The guy in the middle is Bernie Ecclestone, he's the head of all the F1 Grand Prix's
SAMANTHA PS: I'm 168cms too
Here's another article...
Celebrities in the grand prix pit lane
SUPERSTARS from the world of pop made Northamptonshire the place to be during Formula One Grand Prix weekend. Jay Kay, from Jamiroquai, and the Kaiser Chiefs were spotted at Silverstone on Sunday. Guns 'n' Roses frontman Axl Rose was invited to the British Grand Prix as a guest of Surrey-based racing team McLaren, but was also seen hanging out with Ferrari, as Michael Schumacher celebrated his second place in the race. Speaking to the Chronicle & Echo after the race, he said: "It's been an absolutely wonderful day and Silverstone has been just amazing. Everyone here has been so nice with me." The rock hero, sporting a mass of blond dreadlocks, made his first visit to Silverstone during a break from his current tour of England with Guns 'n' Roses. Also spotted hanging out with the Ferrari crew was pop star and racing fanatic Jay Kay, from Jamiroquai. During his third visit to Silverstone, he was also seen chatting with supermodel Jodie Kidd and dining with the victorious Renault team in their luxurious pit-lane headquarters. He backed the majority of racegoers' view of the Grand Prix, adding: "I absolutely love it at Silverstone, it's just great. "It's a wonderful place and it's so great to be at the home of British motorsport." Also mingling among the crowd of supermodels, actors and television stars were the award-winning Kaiser Chiefs. The five lads from Leeds were clearly overawed to be caught up in the middle of the glamorous world of Formula One, but were probably the most popular targets for autograph hunters. Lead singer Ricky Wilson, looking surprisingly fit after being hit by a car in a hit-and-run in Leeds at the end of May, said he could not believe how many beautiful women there were walking around the pits in the scorching June sun. He said: "It's the first time I've ever been to Silverstone and it's great. "We've met Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello, so we've had a great day. And the women are all so beautiful. It's like they're solar powered." Other celebrities spotted milling around the south Northamptonshire track included actress Amanda Holden, former England rugby captain Will Carling, motor racing legend Sir Stirling Moss and former jockey Willie Carson.
