The problem is shes still not speaking to me, and to be honest she isnt a real friend as ive noticed. I'm glad i'm not friends with her anymore, she was an unpleasant person who got offended by something so petty.

Just let her be. People always want to fight. Let her go.
This exactly happened to me, 17+ years ago.
We had a circle of friends, the one (who sort of organized us) got mad at me and cut me out.
But I carried 2 of the friends (one of whom is still a best friend) and she went on her own (with the others).
Guess who contacted me this year to meet up? her. And I still consider her a friend, with limitations.

Sad about losing my last cat. He really was the BEST cat ever!
he lived to maybe 19 years old. He actually was very strong until the past couple months.
but like people, they can live past their physical abilities.
and as their caregiver it's a tough call between letting them live or live in pain.
my cat couldn't carry his back legs anymore and I couldn't watch that.


But that feeling lingers that maybe there was something more I should've done.
and I swear I heard him meow the day after he was gone!

The greatest gift we are able to give our beloved pets is the final release from their pain.

I learned this from my mentor years ago when I worked in security with a K9 partner. My dog and I worked together on the street for 8 years before he retired. When he was 13 years old, he fell to ground one day right in front of me and began having a seizure. When the seizure was over, he gave me a look that he had never given me before. I knew right then that it was time.

Many people tried to talk me out of it, telling me to take him to the vet and put him on meds, etc. But by doing that, I would have only been prolonging his life to satisfy my own selfishness in not being able to "let go". It is our duty as the caregivers, best friends and family members to take that final decision and allow our friends the dignity they deserve for always being there for us in life.

I had my boy put to sleep in the comfort of home, which was a peaceful place for him to relax. He died in my arms while listening to my voice telling him what a good boy he was and how much I loved him. I don't regret the decision that I made and when I made it. He had four more seizures while we were waiting for the vet tech to arrive at our house. So I knew his body had run its course.

You made the right decision for your cat.

Energized! - took my two dogs hiking in the canyon before dawn and watched the sunrise with. Best way to start the day. Exercise plus the beauty of the sun coming up. Highly recommend morning hikes - much better than the gym plus get quality time with my dogs.
