this is kinda off-topic but i notice that on wikipedia it states that jay is jewish and the source comes from an article about him attending a jewish school when he was young...so is he jewish? i would assume he is not religious, hence the songs like starchild and RDLS or maybe he was while growing up

I read his background was Jewish too.
But sometimes, a private school (with a religious affiliation) may be more for privacy and strictness, rather than segregating the child from other religions. Considering his mom was a superstar!
