Jamily Fashion ThreadsRe: Jamily Fashion ThreadsI like pendants and silver too...I had so many silver rings from mexico when I was a teen. I am partial to old jewlery ...something with patina on it and the quality was so much better. Here is a few things on ebay that I really like.....and I am seriously considering the black one, it has such a cool magnetic clast that holds the pendant to the chain.

Re: Jamily Fashion Threadsyou are fast, girl, fast- Curse_t!
I do have one I bought in Mexico! I don't know patina? here is something of Brighton style http://www.brighton.com/product/bracele ... celet.html but they actually aren't pure silver -it's a mixed metal with silver overlay ![]()
Re: Jamily Fashion ThreadsYes that is a nice bracelet.....I was considering one of those new Pandora charm bracelets..but they are pricey. Patina is the darkened areas......oxidation, dirt. Like you see on an old coin.....or antique furniture.
Re: Jamily Fashion Threadspatina- oh, the dark areas, this is what happens to silver, right? I like the retro look of it too!
And I really do love those necklaces! ![]() I think the black one is my fav
Re: Jamily Fashion Threads@ Curse_t - nice hat, it really looks great on you! I have 2 "Roxy" caps, one very similar to yours. But I'm not really a hat person (don't like hat hair!)
![]() Gee, I think we really could split this thread into 3: clothes, shoes and jewellery! ![]() Lovely jewellery there, girls! ![]() @ Curse_t - I have a silver Pandora charm bracelet! And I was going to post on here if any one knew of Pandora jewellery! I got it for Christmas in 2009 (dragged my husband into the jewellery store) and it will have taken 2 years, 4 mths to fill it up - I have 1 charm to go which I hope to get for my birthday. ![]() I also love my Pandora silver moonstone ring that I got last year: http://www.pandora.net/en-au/explore/products/rings#190828MP (I'm not sure why the picture says it is Mother of Pearl when it was called Moonstone when I got it, are they the same thing?) Here's another picture: http://myring.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=106615 ![]()
Re: Jamily Fashion ThreadsYes, my sister and a lot of people have the Pandora bracelets!
![]() I didn't know they make rings ![]() And the moon ring is great! I don't obsess with jewelry, but it's nice to get a few quality pieces here and there. I know people that do the jewelry parties, but in actuality, a lot of it is crap! ![]()
Re: Jamily Fashion Threads@CosmicLea......I love your ring...I personally love moonstones......and I like Pandora's coral rose ring (cheaper too) I also didn't know that they made rings. A school mum came over one day to educate me on the bracelets. Well that wasn't the real reason but it seemed like it! I might one day splurge!
Re: Jamily Fashion Threads
![]() You kinda gotta wait for gifts of special occasions to fill it...I won't be getting one I guess! ![]()
Re: Jamily Fashion ThreadsI got my education in Pandora bracelets from some school mums too! ![]() Yep, that's why it's taken over 2 years to fill my bracelet! Yes, absolutely! I went to a jewellery party about 18 months ago, and the range of jewellery on offer was quite limited and expensive. But the jewellery representative sure was a good salesperson - she talked me into buying something other than what I actually was going to buy! (and was more expensive, of course!) Is Pandora jewellery sold through parties in America? It's only sold in jewellery stores here and dedicated Pandora shops are now popping up at the major shopping malls!
Re: Jamily Fashion ThreadsWe haven't talked about handbags yet!
I got my handbag last Christmas and it is a Guess Mila hobo handbag: http://www.mushladies.com/bags/shoulder-bags/guess-shoulder-bag-mila-medium-hobo-black.html ![]() I also like smaller bags with a long strap that go across the body (great when you're at a concert or club, or even at the park with the kids!) http://www.roxyaustralia.com.au/ladies-leucena-festival-bag?default=45877 ![]()
Re: Jamily Fashion ThreadsThe Pandora bracelets are in finer jewelry stores (not parties). But there is also the knockoff brands too.
In some vacation spots the local stores sell this stuff. The "Housewives of..." my city (the ones going to the jewelry parties) wear all this clunky stuff! Double necklaces with frames of pictures... I guess I wear more simple jewelry. As for handbags. I do have 3 nice ones. So what do you think of these? I may just check them out! There are matching pants too! ![]()
Re: Jamily Fashion ThreadsI had a knockoff bracelet first (it was the cost of one real standard Pandora bead) but it was rubbish - the clasp was difficult to close and it tarnished (turned a reddish colour) almost straight away! ![]()
![]() ![]() The teal green shoes look very nice Giba! You should check them out! I noticed brightly coloured shoes in the stores today, but more of a winter style. Cool, congrats on over 3000 posts, Giba! ![]()
Re: Jamily Fashion Threadsomg- 3000 posts -Dynamite!
I feel like such a loser! ![]() but I have to post here!
Re: Jamily Fashion Threads
Those shoes are a definite throw back to the disco days...but with this colour it makes them modern looking.....love the colour btw. Would look sexy with a billowy pant style (matching pant colour might be too much though).
Re: Jamily Fashion ThreadsI did see a beautiful Pandora bracelet this weekend on some lady.
Re: Jamily Fashion Threads
The good thing about the Pandora bracelets is that you can have so many different combinations that you can individualize them to your personal taste. ![]()
Re: Jamily Fashion ThreadsI am listing some ratty old metal concert shirts on ebay from 1992-93......I am getting interest from Sweden, Japan and Italy....amazing!
Re: Jamily Fashion Threads
really? cool! Found this @ Brighton (no I don't browse all the time!) -London Groove ring! http://www.brighton.com/product/rings/3 ... -ring.html
Re: Jamily Fashion Threads
Cool design Giba.. I ended up purchasing two Pandora beads......a queen bea and a moon( cuz I have always had a thing for the moon) BTW I liked your moon photo.... Don't have the bracelet yet....I sold two concert shirts that were well worn for 50$ to Germany and Japan.
Re: Jamily Fashion Threads
ha! you start collecting the beads before the bracelet! I like the queen bea bead (is it bee?) and $50? which ones were they? good sale!
Re: Jamily Fashion Threads@Giba..
![]() ![]() Anyways the shirts I sold were Entombed (38.00) and Brutal Truth (13.00).... not bad. I'd probably pay 38 for a vintage JMQ concert t-shirt.
Re: Jamily Fashion ThreadsThat ring looks awesome Giba!
That is so great about the t-shirts Curse_t! Very cute Pandora beads! Let me tell you, it is very addictive when you first start collecting them! You better see what else you can sell on ebay! ![]()
Re: Jamily Fashion ThreadsOkay, so check out these Adidas shoes I found on-line!
http://www.adidas.com/us/product/runnin ... rumb=svZu3 They're a little bright, but I like ![]() and the color is called "electricity/black" ![]() ![]() They look like a great Bumble bee! or Honey bee!
Re: Jamily Fashion ThreadsCool Adidas runners - they are very bright!
![]() I was very happy with a bargain I got on Saturday - a $49.95 top, the store had 30% off for Saturday only which brought it down to $34.95, then I had a $20 store gift card. So I only paid $14.95! I love it when that happens! ![]() http://shop.myer.com.au/shop/ProductDisplay?storeId=10251&urlLangId=-1&productId=72506&urlRequestType=Base&langId=-1&catalogId=10051 And I wore it on Saturday night (movie and dinner date with hubby)! ![]()
