Re: Waiting for U.S. TourYeah, they really need to come to the US soon and play a Chicago show, there's a ton of excellent sounding venues around here!!
Re: Waiting for U.S. Tour
sometimes it just boggles my mind how RDLS is still not released here but i am hoping you will receive good news to share with the american fans ![]()
Re: Waiting for U.S. TourMan, nobody was here for months and the next thing I know. . .
I'm telling you guys! Rock Dust Light Star 2012 USA Tour! Coming soon! Starting in San Francisco! Then LA - Detroit, Chicago . . . Or at least I hope so. Jay won't let us down! We love him!
Re: Waiting for U.S. TourIt has got to be 2012!
No new tourdates so far for any part of the world. Probably have to wait untill Jays back is fixed. They cannot leave out the US!
Re: Waiting for U.S. Touri am little bummed out that they did not promote RDLS this year, maybe next year they will
it would be nice if someone from the band or record company could explain why it was not released in america and why they have not mention any tourdates for north america
Re: Waiting for U.S. Tour
That would be nice. I'm sure somebody representing the band has been reading our forum. And still doesn't seem to care to explain. But I think an explanation might come out wrong. And maybe turnoff the American followers. I truly don't think Rock Dust Light Star will be promoted in U.S., resulting in no tour. What a shame.
Re: Waiting for U.S. Tour
Huh? What's wrong with Jay's back?
Re: Waiting for U.S. Tour
Jamiroquai posted this message a while back, when they had to cancel concerts http://www.jamiroquai.com/news;news/103 ... At-Bayonne
Re: Waiting for U.S. Tour
Oh, that. ![]() But I have noticed that he doesn't seem as energetic as he did earlier in the year. He had a rough summer, I think he needs a good rest. Touring is hard work and can be tough. He can take January and February off and then start his USA tour in March! Or maybe it will be the "North American Tour". Then he can hit Canada and Mexico too. Let's all think positive thoughts! Jamiroquai will positively tour the US next year!
Re: Waiting for U.S. Tourheheheh..are you planning his daily schedule now

Re: Waiting for U.S. TourYeah, I read it was a hernia. Some can be serious, some not so much.
But is there any updates on this since it canceled tour dates? ![]() I really hope the surgery goes (or went) well. ![]() I would think this is the month for the surgery, since there are no tour dates. My dad just had one a few months back. (But I know young people too who've had hernias.)

Re: Waiting for U.S. Tour
Giba - I think you are looking in the wrong spot for the tour dates. For Oct. there's a show on the 9th, 16th, 20th, 22nd and the 29th. fyi . . .
Re: Waiting for U.S. Tour
Yeah, it was a hernia. Did anyone see this: Jamiroquai - White Knuckle Ride (live at GurtenFestival 2011) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jIZlftsfuM At the end Jay says: "Have a wonderful summer and don't get a hernia!" I have a friend in a cover band who had an operation for a hernia just days after his 40th birthday. I think it was caused from jumping around on stage! I hope Jay is getting better. Jamiroquai must tour the U.S. and Australia in 2012!! ![]()
Re: Waiting for U.S. Tour
Oh, I'll have to check that out - SO funny if he says "and don't get a hernia"! ![]() I agree that jumping around probably contributed to it. Someone on another website (like funkin or something) made a good point - Jay smokes cigarettes - smoking makes you cough - coughing is REALLY bad for a hernia. So I don't think that helped and it would probably get better faster if he didn't smoke.
Re: Waiting for U.S. TourFor a dancer, I really don't think jumping around on stage would do it.
I thinks it's more likely from a strain, like lifting something heavy. Or having a baby! ![]()
Re: Waiting for U.S. TourSo Jamiroquai?
Is it FINALLY going to happen?
Re: Waiting for U.S. Tour
yea! .....what she said ![]() ![]() ![]() Bring y'all asses here already!!! David Letterman is waiting!
Re: Waiting for U.S. Tour
Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Fallon, David Letterman, Jay Leno, SNL, American Idol, Glee...
Re: Waiting for U.S. Tour
I'd like to see Jay on The Daily show with John Stewart He would be a great guest..to promote the album AND inform us on his political views of the world!!!
Re: Waiting for U.S. Tour
![]() However, I wouldn't recommend it! not yet ![]() ![]()
Re: Waiting for U.S. Tour
Hmmm... I don't know... Politics create so many divisions... That could have a repercussion on his fans... ![]()
Re: Waiting for U.S. Tour
Ya think?... I think that is such a huge part of Jay and Jamiroquai......that is a key part in what got them recognized back in 1992! Too young to die, Emergency of planet earth, When you gonna learn etc....I listen to music for the MUSIC not necessarily if I agreed with the bands political views. But it just happens that with Jay, I can relate! Do you know of the Daily show with Jon Stewart? It is more of a comedy show but the subject matter is US politics and the world's reaction. Re: Waiting for U.S. TourOh, yeah, I know the Daily Show w/ Jon Stewart! He's pretty funny!
http://www.thedailyshow.com/full-episod ... ert-draper yeah early Jamiroquai were political for the environment. I think about the Hippies and their role in changing the values of America (the world) for war and peace. I think this branched off into a movement for earth day and concern for the earth and animals and including questioning governments practices. Jay still seems concerned today with politics and the earth. I mean the album is called "Rock Dust Light Star" concern for the solar system and politics/religion. Well, I'm thinking some of his views may be (anti US) ![]() and well, maybe want to be neutral to appeal to a mass crowd. It's different to become famous on a change the world platform, but it's another to keep integrity by not offending and segregating some groups. ![]() my strong personal views are kept private, and I'm not famous!
Re: Waiting for U.S. Tourwhich doesn't mean I don't like Jay's views!
I like his perspective (of what I've seen in interviews) and is challenging tradition, questioning the norm. And thinking about what is going wrong, for change. for equality. for the earth to remain healthy. Trying to understand everything, is like a child watching parents argue. "just don't fight" isn't really the answer. You have to understand everyone's investment. The answer is usually compromise, or working together. But sometimes one pulls rank with power and thinks they can make the rules. I guess I'm in one of those sociological moods!
