Let Jamiroquai take you on a White Knuckle Ride. Come here to talk about anything related to the new album...

Another track from the new album got itss first airplay on a dutch radio station.. here is a rip JAMIROQUAI -HURTIN´enjoy here the newsitem from funkin.com Dutch Radio 6 programme GielJazz played a new track from Rock Dust Light Star on their show on Saturday night (25 September).
I've Been Hurtin' (or probably just Hurtin' based on the album tracklist and not biographical text) was played shortly after 51 minutes into the show, which can be streamed online. If you have trouble listening to the stream I was able to listen to it using VLC media player. If not, it'll only be a matter of hours before it's ripped and uploaded somewhere else!
In the Jamiroquai biography for the album it says...
...I've Been Hurtin' (Led Zep riffs meets Donny Hathaway vibes), both showcase a new side of Kay's voice. The recording..., a brilliantly minimal song, with electric guitar and electrifying voice trading licks, "was the classic half-a-bottle-of-Scotch, 60-fags-at-two-in-the morning job. It works!"
Yup, I have to agree, Jay does sound like he's had half a bottle of whisky and 60 cigarettes on this one!
let us know what you think!

i really like it, cool song oh jay, who's been hurtin you? it look likes RDLS will definitely be different from the other albums, and that's a good thing because the band is always coming up with new material that is unique, fresh and experimental can't wait to get my hands on the album

i liked it it sounds like jay has drunk a lot of whisky and smoked like 60 cigarrets before he recorded it ahhahaha his voice sounds rough and kinda sexy-mood at the same time ahahaha it seems that RDLS it's definily gonna have some rocky-style!!! it's like a continuation of ''Feels Just Like It Should''. Someones are gonna love it and some others may just not...

This is the sh*t!Or the Bomb! Okay, this is the funky song to wait for. It really has that slower groove and what you call FUNK. And this "was the classic half-a-bottle-of-Scotch, 60-fags-at-two-in-the morning job" song he was talking about. I LOVE the raspy voice. But that guitar is awesome! I want to see the band in this video Absolutely Awesome! I don't want to hear one complaint!

I hate to be negative... again , I feel like I'm getting a reputation... but I'm not enjoying this song at all. If I hadn't listened to the recent live stuff I'd swear Jays voice had completely left him. His voice has always been recognisable and even in the recent live stuff you can tell he still has some magic left, but on this track his voice really is average for me. I love WKR and RDLS. I think BS is ok but this... just not my taste.

This is fantastic! I actually love Jay's raspy voice, this kind of song requires that. You can't expect the 22 year old boy's voice. This is a great song to chill out.

Okay, so y'know what's funny -there's so much action over at Jamirotalk.net. I went there yesterday and found Hurtin' again. And well, what can I say! And Jam.com is going to be revamped. And a new store is coming. Why do they know everygthing? Why isn't everybody at the "official" site? Who runs this site, and who runs Jamirotalk. Like the connections are lost here or something? Funkin.com seems to get the information first. And Jamirotalk has the most conversations about the information. And here we seem to be lagging greatly on information. (I don't need to be browsing 3 sites for info, but it was worth getting that 4th song.) No offense to those running this site.

HURTIN`
Ace to queen And its dust to dust Things ain´t changing But ( I know) I must I’ve been hurting
I’ve seem dizzy No return
Took safety measures But I still got burned I’ve been hurting All I need is you
How the hell did I loose ya Head´s not right Much too loose It’s not screwed on tight I´ve been hurting All I Need is you
Chorus How the hell did I lose ya My head´s not right How the hell did i lose ya It´s not screwed on tight How the hell did I lose ya I´ve been hurting All I Need you
Hanging out head to dry I´ve been hurting It made me cry And I´ve been hurting All I need is you
Don´t get worried Keep the lid on tight But it’s hard to take in I take it every night I´ve been hurting and all I need is you
How the hell did I lose ya My head ´s not right How the hell did I lose ya it´s not screwed on tight How the hell did I lose ya I´ve been Hurting All I need is You
He got ahead for money He had a head for sin Gonna bail let’s face it We´re gonna fly it in (?) I´ve been hurting All I need is you
How the hell did I lose ya
How the hell did I lose ya My head is not right How the hell did I lose ya ( much too loose) It’s not screwed on tight I´ve been hurting Cause all I need is you
Days to days Ace to queen dust to dust things ain’t changing . Can´t get out That’s not right ? for time? I´ve been hurting

I've read some comments about this song that said it's too rock!and i said that it's rock but it's nice! I like all the new songs of rock dust like star's album! They are more or less different from the past! But they are NEW!!Maybe people is not ready for the NEW but they prefer to stay in the past! An artist needs to change and to "be free" to create what he or she feels...if he or she wants to continue to "be" an artist in every field! The artist is not only what PEOPLE want but what an artist really wants ,exactly he or she made with their first creation where there was no contamination except their own emotions , ideas, creativity ! I know because i work in a CREATIVE AMBIENT and after years that you work in this ambient...your creations and ideas must change ...otherwise your creativity dies!

@ Pippis --> You commented on the one page that everybody (except 1) unamimously say thumbs up!
Not everybody dislikes the new music. I think more like it than dislike. And yeah to creativity. Music is art.
