Um, older style. For sure.
Why? Because I feel that instruments make up more of the sound of the older stuff. Less synthesization...if that's a word. And Jay's voice is so much better back in the day. Now he sounds all raspy and blahhh.
There is some of the new style that I like. It's not horrible. But overall, I'd pick the old jamiroquai in a heartbeat.

Hmm, well I'm not gonna persuade you.
I like both; don't prefer one over the other.

Synk at the top? I hope you're not serious. The album's far too raw, even for my taste. There were some big-time faults with it.

what are they then? technical or song writing faults
i think that the longer term fans like the older stuff the newer fans like the newer stuff for example the first JMQ album i heard was Synk back in 99 when my dad bought it on a car drive to cornwall it amazed us both me more than him it turns out
thats why i like the Synk sound if people bought AFO cause they are more electronic fans then they will like the AFO and Dyn sound over EOPE
i have never really followed a band from when they first started but if i did im sure i would love the first album and be dissapointed by any following if they were any different in style

Writing faults. The style was just sh*t. It was far too raw in some places and far too polished in the others. Like mixing pepper and sugar and swallowing it all. Ew. Also, AFO was the first Jamiro album I ever heard, yet I detest it.

Yes maybe the writing style(lyric style I mean) was sh*t but that was cuz Jay was a drugged up twat more then than ever. And for the same reason at some spots on the album you get the album flowing smooth as whiskey and at other it's a bit rough but that's the magic of it
