Black Crow

What's the story behind these lyrics?

In my opinion it is one of the most atmospheric and profound songs of our generation, a true classic.

But can anyone shed some light on the meaning behind its concept??

I think it was written about the war in Bosnia - maybe someone else can confirm this :)

I heard somewhere, and I'm also pretty sure Jay confirmed it, that the song was written about the genocide in Kosovo. One weird thing is that I'm quite surprised a foreign musician actually threw an eye at what's been going down in Serbia, especially since it's my homeland, but I'd always prefer a country where life is not keeping your balance on a tightrope 120m above the ground.

says : such a big hole I've never seen ,never seen ,never seen ...
The patient : Ahm . Yes . But no need to say this three times ..?
The dentist : Oh no . I didn't . This was the echoe .

This is one of my fav songs.. the atmosphere is special..
You know that it's a song about something sad and deep.

"Black Crow, Black Crow, tell me where you really go when you fly into the sunset, high in evening sky
Black Crow, Black Crow, tell me what you really know; will we flourish in this hurricane, or will we fall and die."

I'm very surprised, too. Then again, I don't know what exactly happenned there. Everything's being twisted and bent by the media. For example, a girl commited suicide by drinking bleach, and the next day, the papers reported it as a murder stating that her boyfriend choked her to death, then poured bleach down her throat and tried to set her dead body on fire, when in reality nothing of that happenned.
