Do you miss the didjeridoo???

Talk about the funk. Albums, singles, music videos, remixes, etc.

i really really love actual jamiro
but as i'm 17 and i started to likr jamiroquai in 2001, i think i got the right to 'miss' the old sounds, the guys that are very good like toby and stu.
jamiroquai always rock my mind and i'd give them a chance if they do something that i wouldnt like. dynamite is not album that sounds perfect for me, but i loke it the same way as TWM or AFO. i'd not live without SDISJ or dynamite or tallulah just like mr moon or canned heat.
it's always good to discuss things like this. we all got this right :o

Im sorry Talulah... you are right, you can miss the old sound :)

I didnt mean to sound harsh.. just sometimes, people go on and on about what they should be doing etc. But, you are dead right, specially for the younger fans...

You keep chatting away :D xx

I'll be honest, I was never a huge fan of the didgeridoo in Jamiroquai tracks (although the tracks were simply stunning anyway). But I've read this thread, and thought about it a bit more, and actually, yeah - it would be nice to hear it again. Definitely wanna hear an instrumental or two on a future album (whatever label it comes on ;-) ) and hearing the big hollow wood pipe would be class :)

Take care,

I love the sound of the didgeridoo in their music...it's a healing instrument ...the sound vibrations ..well here's a site if you want to check out how it's used to heal...

http://www.didjshop.com/didgeridoo_healing.html

I think they should play whatever they feel is right. Maybe they'll do something trippy....

i was really amazed that they even knew what the didgeridoo was!!!!its such an aussie thing, and even here in australia it isnt that popular...i have never heard any song include a didgeridoo!!i think its fantastic that they opened their minds to new and different sounds :) :)

if you look you can find some other music with didge in it....I have a few cd's ...one is "The Healing sounds of the Didgeridoo", and I can't think of the other one right now. I like how they incorporate different sounds. It would be nice to bring Wallis back to play again. ANyone know why he left the group?

THanks.

I have a few CD's featuring the Dijiri and they are brilliant!!.. I think it's a very underrated instrument especially if you consider all of different sounds and pitches you can make with it.. It's brilliant the way guys can play it especially the ones who can breath in through their nose and at the same time breathing out through their mouth.. You try it.. Very difficult to do and has to be practised a lot to be able to even do that..
