I am going crazy here. I live on the east coast of the United States and when I heard "Runaway" I fell in love with it in an instant. We dont here Jamiroquai much here on the radios or airways so I lost contact with their music--I mean it had been years. The last I remember was "Virtual Insanity". I know-I know, where was my mind??? I was growing and living my life. So, from Jan 07 to present I have gotten myself all caught up. I heard or seen all videos, interviews, websites and blogs. I guess I was "Lightyears" from where I wanted to be. Man, their music put me in a very happy place. I mean for months I was high on happiness from their music. So much so that I have gone to London, England just for the long weekends 3 times this year. I do this all by myself. Going back in Jan 08. Just wanted to see/walk/feel what the band has. Now, I like everyone else are just waiting. Waiting for something. I dont know, that article abou Jay Kay losing his inpiration could be true. I mean, he and the band has has a rags to riches whirlwind life and success. I mean, Jay Kay seems to have wanted to do alot of things and has done them except go to the moon. What else could inspire him? So, many great bands have just "stopped". Just "stopped". The fans where just left with great memories and thats it. Sometimes, I think the masses of fans could inspire and artist. But how, without crossing that line between fan and crazy person? I welcome all and any responses to this.

I can understand exactly what you're saying Laytonblue.
I've actually been catching up with everything since last week, so I still have work to do.
The fact that their music didn't/doesn't get much airplay in the States upsets me. I can guarantee you that their worst track (depending on your opinion) is still better than the majority of what's on the radio today.
I personally can't wait for what's next. Now that there's no more label, maybe now Jay will be inspired by the fact that he has more options. He and the guys are now in the driver's seat.

Thanks for your "coherent" reply Coolnes;squared. I personally am in "ready, get set and go" mode when it comes to Jamiroquai, because I cant wait or trust that they will come to the States any time soon. I am fully prepared to catch them anywhere in the world. If then after a European tour they come to the states I wlll see them again.

yeah...their music just puts me in a good mood no matter what. my husband and I made the HUGE mistake of missing his show in vegas in '05...it was our wedding night, but we could have made part of the show and had we known he wouldn't be back for such a long time, we would have rescheduled the wedding to an earlier time slot! we even drove by the venue during the show. alas... if traveling is inevitable, it would be totally worth it to catch a show anywhere in the US...
