AHAUS, GERMANY - 16 AUGUST 2008

Postby samantha1170 on Mon Jun 16, 2008 11:18 am

Hi everyone, here's some news from Funkin...

According to a list of tourdates in an email sent out from the official Jamiroquai website this past weekend, on 16 August the band will be performing in the town of Ahaus in Germany.

There's been plenty of talk about this date over at Jamirotalk and it seems that the gig will be part of the Tobit Festival - which is organised by computer software company Tobit.

Hell, I DON'T understand the webpage in Germany (I can only suppose the information). Some good person can explain the details? 'cause the dates coincides with my holydays and I'm thinking seriously to go here and not to England...

...

I was trying to traslate the webpage and I understood that this festival is a kind musicians contest. I read something about contest and basses for participate, and that the prize is a meeting with Jamiroquai (or something like this)

I didn't read anything about concerts and groups that will play in this festival... I'm right?

In Jamiroquai.net don't say anything about Ahaus...

there is indeed a contest for bands, the 2 that wins can get on the main stage before JMQ (they play on the main stage)

if you wanna see that JMQ plays there see this link http://www.nightclubbing.de/ and watch the intro, doesn't matter what they say in german, you can see it .... and hear it

and we have also a confirm from the newsticker email from official site:

"With a number of European festival dates just around the corner we're now together rehearsing and are really looking forward to playing live again. Here's where we'll be playing over the coming weeks...

13 Jun - Gran Canaria, Aguaviva Canarias Festival
14 Jun - Tenerife, Aguavivas Canarias Festival
21 Jun - Poland, Krakow, Wianki Krakow 2008
04 Jul - Spain, Madrid, Rock in Rio
05 Jul - Portugal, Porto, Super Bock Super Rock 2008
07 Jul - Monaco, Port Hercule, Monaco Live 2008
14 Aug - Hungary, Budapest, Sziget Festival
16 August - Ahaus - Germany - Tobit Festival

The last step it's discover how I can buy the tickets... f***ing "english option", it isn't work!

*streesfull 'cause I don't undestand anything*

What has the premium pass that it merits to cost 50 € more than standing place?

the premium pass is NOT back-stage or stuff like that, you just get stuff like extra parking space, catering, guest-entrance....nothing special

if you need any explanation for the tickets go to
http://www.jamirotalk.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7880

page 8 & 9 i think it is  :)

hope youll get it ^_^

ps: it's better to use the nightclubbing site to order tickets cause there cheaper => still the same

On 13 July funkin.com reported that the organisers of the concert being held in Ahaus, Germany on 16 August were running a competition to find a band to perform on stage before Jamiroquai perform.
Meike (from Jamirotalk.net) suggested that [b]Nude Continuum
(who feature Jamiroquai's Derrick McKenzie on some of their tracks) enter the competition and out of over 150 entrants it has been announced that the band have won the competition. This means that if you're going to see Jamiroquai perform in Germany in August you'll get to see Nude Continuum, The Brand New Heavies and of course Jamiroquai perform.

Sounds like it will be a great concert...
