New GuitaristHey I got a question for Jamiroquai guitarist Rob Harris or to other guitar players in this forum. I wanna learn to play the guitar at the age of 15, a lil bit late I might said. I need to know what kind of guitars are better to play what you play, funk (or however you describe Jamiroquai music as)? And what tips and hints I might want to learn in order to be a better guitarist?
well, i'm 14, and i still learn guitar. i play soul music, but i didn't know the type of best guitar.
I just bought my daughter (She's 14 too) a guitar yesterday...an inexpensive one since she just started this year. I was relunctant to buy it because she gave up the violin not long after we bought one for her.

Right! It's never too late. I really want to learn how to play the drums and I know one day when I have a bit more time I will learn!
And Q-tiel_iroquai, it was an electric guitar.

It may've been boring but it is still better to get it right once and for all,and completely right and not do it half and leave it the way it is ![]()
I ever learn piano at the age 7, but I feel boring and I leave it. till now I never play piano again and forget all the lessons. If I stay learn piano, maybe now I'm a pro
Well ,you can choose between classical and acoustic or electric guitar style. It's two different worlds. You can start with playing the tunes you like ,but If you want great skills and stuff you should start listening to great guitarist like, i don't know, joe pass, eric clapton, stevie ray vaughan, depends on style you prefer.
