One Hit Wonders!...the thrill is gone

I'm sure all of you have some that you can think of.....Here is one band I thought had such potential and so original. Mind you, he sings it rather strangely in this live version, entertaining to say the least. http://youtu.be/GJj2kRm8IeI SpaceHog

Wow, SapaceHog is... er... peculiar!

== > Yannick, I guess he's not internationally known but his song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7GJRXLw ... re=related was a hit a few years ago ( In the other hand he was inspired by Claude François, so... there's nothing much surprising about that...) I think he still sings but don't really hear of him...

Well Yannick...
Not really special his hit, it was almost 100% cover version of Claude François' "Cette année-là", which was an almost 100% cover version of the Four seasons' "December, 1963 (Oh what a night)".

The covers just have other lyrics...

Now you know! ;)

On the other hand, many English speaking people don't know that the classic tune "My way", is in fact the Claude François original "Comme d'habitude".

OMC: How bizarre

Not that I particularly like this song, but we always used to sing "PARMESAN" instead of "How bizarre".

I loved OMC! I had their cd back in, what 97?

And I know that song by Spacehog. I think I may've seen them in concert too (opener).

Nazareth "Love Hurts". Were they one hit wonder? Know nothing about them.
But I love his voice on this track. Perfect for the words.

well as I googled, I think I know "Hair of the Dog" or "Sonobitch".
