Talk about music - songs/albums that you love, and the ones that you don't.

Jazzhole wrote:About that whole sexual content on music industry... well, it has always been there. I grew up to " Sex bomb", ya? I think this sexual content is okay for mind opening but it's going too far. Anyway, nowadays there are 10 year old kids browsing the internet watching 2 girls 1 cup and porn. When i was 9 i would be really happy if i had a new color pencils set... now 9 year old kids write letters to santa asking for an iphone this kind of materialism and show off only leads to a status-seeking values, and therefore an higher wish of wanting to be a grown up. Being on a post-feminist society doesn't really help because now women take much more initiative on starting sexual intercourse ( i don't judge them on that tho ). Behold the raise of the slut generation
I literally just uttered out a "uh" after reading! I love it! This is some funny stuff! Jazzhole, your statements are so profound. Yes, technology is taking over, Lev Grossman says we've moved into the "Singularity" movement, where technological change is so rapid there is a rupture in human history. And so for a 9 year old to have an i-pod touch, not too surprising. I don't know the song "Sex Bomb". And women have been striving for sexual equality since before Mae West. Why would you expect anything different from a female? Both males and females are sexual creatures. If they weren't, we would stop reproducing. And Post-Feminism should actually be a state of equality!

Here are some lyrics i wrote based on my life. I sing this to the natural energy instrumental because it's kinda of a sad but chilled tune. I'm thinking of extending the lyrics. Don't know if the metric are okay tho. The song name is " Whatever".
You never even said "Good bye" Left me hanged, like you didn't care Well do you really think that's fair? For you i never existed...
You act like " you're not responsible, there won't be consequences at all we had a little affair that's all if my feeling are hurt ain't your fault"
There's no point whinning about it tho i'm sorry it ended this way either way i just stopped to say: (What?) Whatever...
Can't you understand that you were just a guest on my universe? baby you were just a shooting star not the damn planet earth so don't act like you were my world cuz i'll just find another girl
I'm a rocket man, i guess i'll be okay don't you worry, i won't try to make you pay just because i want you doesn't mean i need you I hope you understand that simple fact one day

Jazzhole, those are heartwrenching lyrics.
Maybe she didn't say goodbye because it's not over? Or that could be another song!

@ Giba7, you missed the point, Jay says " all i need is you" wich is totally the opposite of what i said. I want the girl. I don't need her. Wishing it's different then needing. You may want a new pair of shoes but you don't need them to be happy, isn't it?
The story behind this lyrics is kinda like a girl who used me as her "toy" and then left me because i "broke" and lost value to her. And me, just remaining a stoic, kinda sad about it but no hard feelings because i'm the one who's in control of my life, happiness comes from inside and she's " just a guest on my universe". Tho i never expressed it directly, this song has a lot of my own perspectives of life.
I wrote this because i never found any music or poem i could relate to my current emotional state and feel satisfied 100%.
I'll surely post it on youtube, as soon as i figure out how to remove vocals from a music decently lol

oh, I did see that (need & want), but still through it out there. Not a correction, but some things you still need.
But your writing will be a great way to release and express your feelings. And probably the best therapy. (I'm still sorry for the situation.) You'll move on when you find someone else, and write another song. Remove vocals, from Natural Energy?
Funny, I have so many song lyrics I need to post!

No... you may want a new pair of shoes to be happy even if you don't really need them. Jazzhole wrote:I wrote this because i never found any music or poem i could relate to my current emotional state and feel satisfied 100%.
You're never better served than by yourself! Great lyrics by the way! also... when you'll post it on Youtube... don't forget to leave a link here. ^^ Giba7 wrote:But your writing will be a great way to release and express your feelings. And probably the best therapy.
Yes... and just writing is good too... I mean short stories... or novels...

If I should stay, I would only be in your way. So I'll go, but I know I'll think of you ev'ry step of the way.
And I will always love you. I will always love you. You, my darling you. Hmm.
Bittersweet memories that is all I'm taking with me. So, goodbye. Please, don't cry. We both know I'm not what you, you need.
And I will always love you. I will always love you.
I hope life treats you kind And I hope you have all you've dreamed of. And I wish to you, joy and happiness. But above all this, I wish you love.
And I will always love you. I will always love you. I will always love you. I will always love you. I will always love you. I, I will always love you.
You, darling, I love you. Ooh, I'll always, I'll always love you.

What Whitney Houston did with that humble little Dolly Parton song was just amaaazing. The way Whitney sang it always (and still does) brings tears to my eyes. Dolly's lyrics are very poignant.
