Always a blast - the best time - despite being in the desert; not nearly as beautiful as Moscow or Arbon however

@Giba7 - Pharrell is in the lineup and sure he will perform "Happy." Looking forward to seeing MGMT and getting into a lot trouble

Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?I would love to see Pharrell!
Coachella would be great. Are the Black Keys playing?
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon? No, I do not think Black Keys are in the line-up. It's a massive line-up - some good stuff.
I like Coachella but not really a big festival person when it comes to music - I like concerts; preferably smaller venue ones unless I am in VIP or front row at larger venues. With Coachella - it's about the experience, taking a limo down, getting styled in semi-skanky - haha! - but cool boho attire - my friend's pr person arranges it for us every year and we have a wild time. People are usually pretty f----- up by time the big headliners come on.
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?yes I prefer concerts maybe over festivals. it's fun to go out after a concert.
I just can't camp out anymore ![]()
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?oh Coachella featured Mary J. Blige! Awesome!
I'd sell my Bruno Mars ticket to see her sing live ![]()
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?So joliefille,
Did you go to Coachella? I've never been...and I only live a very short distance away. Have to put that experience on my "Bucket List" along with "Burning Man".
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?so I'm going to Journey and didn't realize how hip Tower of Power are, who are opening!
holy sh*t they are great! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAatPPEaZDA maybe a bit of influence to Jamiroquai? gotta be!!
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?I really enjoyed the show last night. It was one band backing up some featured singers doing separate sets. Mark Farner & Chuck Negron sang from their bands, and both could still really sing! They played these tunes.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKaQzQAlNn4 3 Dog Night http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlJPQtl7hV0 GFR talking Revolution and sounding Grunge.
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?Oh - went to the Eminem/Rihanna concert. It was great!
It was at Comerica Park in Detroit, an outdoor arena. It was the most perfect weather!! 77* and sunny, no rain (even though it was predicted). I had upper seats, but the breeze felt wonderful! The sun was out. ![]() Eminem has only toured Detroit and NYC in 4 years. And it seems like it'd be a rough crowd, but everybody was nice and happy! The streets were the most crowded I've ever seen downtown due to the concert & the Lion's football game. it's my theory that each song has to have a peak. and my theory that Eminem's songs have a stronger peak than most. ![]()
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?I've been on a tribute band kick lately. Saw THE BEST tribute to early AC/DC last week called Bonfire. I'm going to see two more tribute bands this weekend, Strangelove - tribute to Depeche Mode and SIN - tribute to Nine Inch Nails. SIN has requested I shoot photography for them. Pretty excited about that one!
Some of these tribute bands are just like seeing the real thing...they are SO GOOD!! Come to think of it, I wonder if there are any Jamiroquai tribute bands. There HAS TO BE!!
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?sounds like fun @Erin!
So, guess who's coming in concert? Steve Wonder! ![]() ![]() ![]() Sure hope I get tickets ![]()
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?
aaaw how great! I'd love to attend that one! ![]()
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?Definitely seeing Stevie - looking forward to it.
Also seeing Elton John, Judas Priest (with Steel Panther opening - @Erin - they are a great 80s metal cover band; used to be called Metal Skool and performed at the Viper Room.) And whatever other concerts people invite me to and I am available ![]()
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?
Yes! a girl can dream! I would love to see him today, at 70! I just saw the Black Keys again! What a fabulous show they put on. Dan is a fantastic guitarist. They played sorta a mellow, but great mix. I always enjoy them! 3x now! ![]()
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?sorry I'm hogging up this section this year!
![]() but I have tickets to see Mr. Stevie Wonder. Yes I do! and the tour is called "Songs in the Key of Life Performance" oh I'm so happy because that sounds great!! I'm hoping it is the specific album or the older stuff!
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?Might go to One Republic with my sis and Pharrel just cancelled so, me no "Happy"
![]()
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?@Caroli -One Republic would be great!

Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?omg I had to comeback today! I received my Stevie Wonder tickets and I think I have pretty good seats!
I literally have tears in my eyes after I looked up the tour -it's one of only 11 dates. And it says he will end the concert with the tune "'Another Star,' because I feel that song is the right one to do," he said. ![]() http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/ ... d-20140910
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon? Thanks for the info G. I never heard that Steve (I guess you and him are on a personal basis now G
![]() I will check it out. Nice info. I hope he performs Golden Lady, As (which is on Songs in the Key of Life), Knocks Me Off My Feet (also on there), Don't You Worry About A Thing, and oh my favorite, Superwoman . . . ok, this list could go on and on. Someone invited me to see Ambrosia - has anyone heard of them?? My parents played them so probably not. haha!
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?As for the "Steve" concert, I believe the entire album will be played
![]() yes I know Ambrosia! besides it as a tasty fruit/marshmallow salad, the band sings 2 fantastic tunes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnpzQiqoiuQ "the biggest part of me" I remember this guy from the music program singing this spot on! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQB5qpxcixc "how much I feel" definitely a '70's band. But I bet they'd be great -have a sound with full harmonies.
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?Elton this weekend - awwwwh the set list someone sent me is amazing. "Rocket Man" "Your Song" . . . "Bennie & the Jets" . . . ."Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues"
Haha! Yes why would you name your band after a rather disgusting marshmellow (sp???) salad. Only know three songs of theirs "The Biggest Part of Me" "You're the Only Woman" and "That's How I Feel" But I love them dearly. I would post the youtube links because the songs are rather good but in too much pain to go through the effort.
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?I like Ambrosia salad
![]() and Elton John! hope it was fun!
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?@Giba - you are kidding. Ambrosia salad is so gross - marshmellows in a salad with peaches. haha! I had this convo with the person who invited me to see Ambrosia - why did they name themselves after a dessert salad? No, I did not see them. I only know three of their songs.
Elton was amazing - he's definitely erm . . . getting up there ![]() ![]()
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?well my Ambrosia salad is good.
![]() ok so not sure if I was posting on Stevie somewhere else ![]() The Stevie Wonder "Songs in the Key of Life" tour is also about an education of racism. Stevie says "I challenge America, I challenge the world, to let hatred go, to let racism go." according to the Huffington Post (I'll give the credits this time.) I love how he is spreading the word, at 64. He is already a legend and still has a message to get out! He will live forever, like Marvin! Today my son was asking about "Rage against the Machine" (and Zach de la Rocha), and how they are revolutionaries, and I slipped Jamiroquai the same category! ![]()
Re: Which concerts will you attend soon?No shows in the plans for a while...
