Love Bob Seger! Such a classic voice. Reminds me of Joe Cocker (RIP).

Yes RIP Joe Cocker - very memorable voice. Ok I hate to admit that I kind of like this song with Mystikal and Mark Ronson (although it sounds similar to Mystikal's Danger and his song about butts. Warning: graphic language if you can understand what he saying.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gb73FC6I_0UIt gives me a chuckle. Thinking of getting the whole album because I do like funky. What's the latest with Jamiroquai? And Giba, wtf, do you ever travel or go anywhere? I think it is your job to post here - if so, then I want that job in exchange for backstage passes at future Jam concerts. haha! Wishing you all a happy, healthy and very inspired New Year.

Bruno Mars brought the brass section on Uptown Funk -exactly what I've been begging for! Mystikal has the best song on the album -better than motherfunkin jail I'm still reviewing the album. We just had Martin Luther King, Jr. day off! Learn about Selma! Vacation? I won't necessarily social media it unless it's big and I'm already there. I post here when something comes up -mainly in music. I never have the bit on Jamiroquai, I'm just trying to keep the site alive!

Uptowne Special is good! I think I was surprised by the rest of the album! It was more mellow with moments of "wow -that's different"! and some feelings of Trainspotting (Daffodils), the Beatles (Leaving Los Feliz) , Pink Floyd ? and a lot of Todd Rundgren (Summer Breaking, In Case of Fire), one with sirens "I can't Lose" that make me feel like I'm in War Babies (H & O produced by Rundgren). Heavy & Rolling has some effects and reminds me of that 70's band I can't think of Crack in the Pearl Pt. II is a cool sound. Surprisingly Stevie's harmonica doesn't do much for me but in the end will have the sauce on the cake as it opens and closes with him. I think the 2 best individual songs are Feel Right & Uptown Funk (I hope it stays on the radio!) But the rest is a nice album is great with unique things going on -I need to play it through more !

How are the Stevie songs on Uptown Funk? I have only heard the song featuring Mystikal and the Bruno song. Speaking of Stevie this is my theme song - love it; it is pretty funky. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8Z_71sF4LUMmmm bored much? I am teasing. But the site, the music, Jam fan's passion - will never die; love, energy is always moving. Some times love/energy redirects and shifts or reprioritizes and transforms and grows but it is a not stagnant thing. I am not worried that the site will erm die ; it will revive itself on its own when the time is right. And clearly the music lives on in our hearts and minds - like my favorite ee cummings poem.

heard this today... great tune but the recording sounds only fair, but seems we know this one.. it's a big sampled tune I guess. Seems like it'd be a great cover tune! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWuirEqqs0E

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfGEYt0GWJI Just imagine a mashup between this and "Canned Heat"... Just the violins on the intro, and Jay singing on the music : "I used to put my faith in worship. But then my chance to get to heaven slipped". Yeah

so Uptowne Special is a wonderful drive cd! (sorry, I used to work for the Uptown e) I do love "Daffodils" and "Summer Breaking" w/Kevin Parker -so smooth and a daydream! "Leaving Los Feliz" (Parker) great guitar and fuzz. where is Los Feliz? "In case of Fire" (Bhasker) is also so smooth. you've gotta love the voice, the beat and brass in "I Can't Lose"!! then of course you've got Mystikal and Bruno. When I heard Stevie Wonder was on the album - wanted more from Stevie in voice. But we'll take the harmonica and chorus if that's all ya get! I'd prefer a direct one-line vocal. Stevie is legend regardless. I mean, we can just grab one of his albums.
