Talk about music - songs/albums that you love, and the ones that you don't.

"Bold As Love" - by the Jimi Hendrix Experience on "Axis: Bold as Love" (If anyone can explain what Hendrix means by the "Axis" I would appreciate it. Love this song but do not understand the part about asking the Axis. John Mayer covered this tune.) Wow, @Cacouna this guy must be something really special - it could be like a "Mr. Moon" experience since you do not know his name or that other song about someone leaving a spell on you. haha!

well "bold as Love" sounds like a mixture of drugs, hippy and genius! Hendrix was definitely on a different level! colors can mean things but who knows what he meant as the Axis, but Love is powerful.
So I read Stevie Wonder's fiance is pregnant with surprise triplets?! or Gossip? y
edit -yes this is gossip! I didn't search for it -it was on my social media and just came up! Updated info says a single baby is expected! Still great news!

"Help Me" - Joni Mitchell on "Court & Spark" (I love her lilting voice throughout this song - really mellow)
"Trouble Child" - Joni Mitchell "Court & Spark" (I relate to this song)
"Twisted" - Joni Mitchell "Court & Spark" (Trouble Child flows right into this song - kind of like Superwoman which has two distinct songs within the song but are clearly different.)

Yes, @Giba I hate to admit that I was kind of bummed to learn that Stevie Wonder will have 11??!!!! kids by 5 different women. Also, his ex wife wiped him out (not completely obviously) in his last divorce. And, the new baby mama (haha!) is I believe 40 years younger. It is tough as a fan because I think his music is so valuable, spiritual and useful - however it is hard to separate the artistry from people's personal lives because we are human and we do judge no matter how hard we try not to. I was thinking of Jude Law too - it is crazy that men do not think of protection when their money is at stake. And yes, Jimi Hendrix was so spiritually evolved and on another level - I think he was trying to in the simplest way possible "deliver" his message to us in a way that we may understand more about the world and ourselves.

@Giba - can you start a new thread about the "alleged" new Jamiroquai album set to come in 2015?
Also, any word on when the Hendrix biopic starring Andre 3000 is coming out in theaters?
I would do it but have to catch a flight.

I really don't know Joni Mitchell's tunes -except for the parking lot song. will check those out. as for the history of Stevie Wonder and Jude Law -I know nothing! I only knew Stevie had a beautiful baby (Aisha?) on Isn't she Lovely. I don't keep up on celebrities like Jude Law cuz who really cares. as for the Hendrix story -didn't hear. Still waiting for the Queen Biopic!

yeah I know "Help Me', but really she's not my type of artist. just not my type of voice and transition -doesn't work for the music. The music I know from the 70's was more powerful -my mom was a Rocker but saw a fantastic cover band this weekend -70's/80's rock music. fantastic voice!

I've heard this and thought it was Nile Rodgers -nope! I guess we'll call it a ripoff or the legendary guitar groove of the Disco era! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sf6Bp8cnq6Qfeeling like some ribs now Happy Halloween!

ok I've posted this tune before, but this one is one of the best! This is the slowest funky tune ever is"Tell me Something Good" Live. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fayXlGcdTw4Chaka (& Rufus) is one of the greatest recording artists and live artists ever. She started in the late 60's, and is still in her prime! I love it! Wear your Native dress a ll you want Chaka! You rule.

I hate that when I listen to the Sirius Electronica station they don't list the songs I youtubed this "unstoppable, unbreakable" song -don't know the other lyrics, it was a jumping tune with a female voice. Youtube doesn't seem to have it by those lyrics. I need to renew my Sirius membership or I will lose it! And they're the only one playing the Gap Band!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aobIboK ... obIboK_z34 I still love this video!!

This Mark Ronson song came out last week on my radio! "Uptown Funk" Featuring Bruno Mars -this is what I must've seen this summer BM tour- total funk/brass band on stage! So they played Saturday Night Live last night -here is the performance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbGX1Sx0gvoThe song alone, hits the mark. But they picked up on stage presence which adds another dimension! I get a kick out of stuff like this -it's sooo cool! Something like an influence from the Time And no it's not a rip-off. It's an influence because they have enough there original. I missed this one but did see Mystikal -he's got the real James Brown sound.
