Re: Who fed your soul full of Music? My mom. She played music nonstop. We didn't have a lot growing up, but had records all over the place! I grew up on Classic Rock, but also had Aretha playing. Then Classical and Opera as I grew up.
Music was there over the years, and I grew into it. Her dad also loved music, and he was in the Jazz club as a youth. He created a Detroit Jazz club and threw parties called things like "Post-Lenten Frolic"!! ![]() But he had a basement full of vinyl records. What I would do to be there now!

Re: Who fed your soul full of Music?I've had music in my family since i was a child. Mainly indian classical, where they play raagas and improvise. It's a bit like jazz. Then all sorts. My dad listens to all kinds - rock, dire straits, rolling stones etc.
I got into jamiroquai when i first heard their single when you gonna learn - '92. ever since then i've liked everything they've done really.
Re: Who fed your soul full of Music?ok so I've revealed Hall & Oates as a past favorite
![]() “Once it leaves me, it belongs to the world,” Hall says. “As long as you pay me, do whatever you want, you know? I mean, playing around with songs is an interesting idea. I’m all for it. As long as you don’t denigrate it or change the meaning to something that is inconsistent with the point of the song. I don’t agree to that. I usually reject that, if that’s thrown at me. But you know, anything else is sort of OK with me.” "as long as you pay me" ![]() This quote comes from discussion of their favorite cover by Bird & the Bee (Rich Girl) rather than the boring boring cover of "Everytime you Go Away" by Paul Young! ![]()
