Talk about concerts promoting the Rock Dust Light Star album in 2010 and beyond...|
Rock dust light star tour has just finished, and I wanna say a big thank you for this tour. I´ve been at 3 concerts: Arcachon, Barcelona and Toulouse.
They have been my first concerts of JMQ, and you, guys, made me happy.
I have lived very intense feelings during this time: the preparation of the concerts, trips, get entries, meet fans, the nerves in the days prior to each concert, the hours before the concert...
I am a fan from "Travelling…", but it was not until now that I have begun to go to your concerts, I know that it should have started earlier! Now I will not stop. I will go to all those who can.
3 Concerts have been different. Arcachon was the first for me, I discovered the incredible live Jamiroquai, had lot of contained emotion, because I had waited long for this concert. Barcelona was great by the good atmosphere, and was in my country.
But the better for me has been the last I've been in Toulouse. I met some Spanish fans of Jamirolive.com, the Spanish Jamiroquai Forum , we managed to put us at front row, with the Spanish flag with the Buffaloman, and there were very exciting parallel stories, the Jay´s signature of my friend Lola cover of an old vinyl When You Gonna Learn, or get photos with Jay and Derrick.
Versions of the songs on this tour have been incredible. To highlight the work of art that you have done with Love Foolosophy, a very long version with a great rhythm changes. The slow, long and beautiful of Alright beginning that gave me the willies. What a difference to the original has been Travelling without moving. I loved Feels just like it should. And of the new album, the concert start with Rock dust light star is fantastic ( I was right at the question you did on facebook about what would be the first song in the concerts of this tour). I loved to listen to All good in the Hood and Hey Floyd, and not had the good fortune to hear She´s fast persuader.
For Jay it was physically a tough tour of his hernia problem, but at the last concert in Toulouse I was delighted to see him very recovered. Thanks Jay for your effort!
See to next time! fans are selfish and we want it to be soon, but we understand that you must rest because it has been intense. T H A N K Y O U!! We love you xxxxxx
Also, thank you for ignoring Portugal.. Much appreciated
cb_painter has just rubbed salt into my wound.
this is the saddest day, because the RDLS tour has ended.
And no North American Tour begun.
Yikes ....you girls are being a little rough on poor cb_painter! Jay isn't Santa......he can't be everywhere! I am sure he will hit Canada and the US next time aroundand I will be there for sure This isn't his last album...I still have hopes of winning the lotto and flying to Australia for NYs and picking up CosmicLea on the way
Ok... I love reading, but it's really too much, sorry... I promise I'll entirely read it... er.... maybe during holidays! But I agree with curse_7 even so, cb_painter was just expressing his delight! (p&l girls, p&l... )
curse_7, hope you'll win D-22!!
Thank you Jamiroquai for RDLS.
Thank you for continuing to tour.
cb_painter, I'm happy you got to see the band 3x. Awesome.
But it is quite ironic that the two greatest fans who write here have no tour to their country!
And there's no explanation why RDLS wasn't released in the U.S.
1)the promotional company thinks the U.S. doesn't want it
2)the U.S. was boycotted by the band (or avoided)
Whichever, add that onto the fact that I had tickets at one time in my town, and they canceled that show.
I really want to see them. It doesn't need to be 3 times. Just once in a lifetime.
why haven't you come to my country, the U.S. of A. for Rock Dust Light Star?
Are you planning any tour to the U.S. in the near future? (before the next album)
Curse_t - Aaaaw, thanks sweetie! And if I win the lotto I'll "shout" you a concert ticket and trip over to Sydney too! ("Shout" is Australian slang for "treat"! )
Okay MissLisa, If I win I'll fly to France first.....screw it ..if my winning is over a Mil.. I will grab Giba first in Detroit, then you, then Stormey in Belgium, Caroli in Portugal and lastly CosmicLea in Australia. Come to think of it I will hire Jay to fly us in his copter You can never wish too big
What does D-22 mean ...it sounds like bingo.
Oh, that would be so awesome for the six of us to go to a Jamiroquai concert together, especially the Sydney NYE gig coz that is going to be one huge partay!!
Yeah, I was especially glad to hear Jamiroquai play live in my home country for the first time ever!
But, I had also the tickets for 2 gigs which have been cancelled, the one in Mainz and the one in Antwerp...
Oh thank you curse_t!! That would be great to go together!!!
D-22 means "only 22 days to go before D-Day (= NYE gig)" now it's D-21! (but I don't know if you say that in your country too 'cause in France it's J-21... understand? well, I suppose I'm not very clear...)
Haha! I'm in!
On second, thought the helicopter might not get off the ground with all of us.....we'll have to make a couple of trips.
Glad to hear you are not a JMQ concert virgin anymore...was it good for you?I must admit I still am
Uh, I think Ophone's seen Jamiroquai a few times. Just not in his country.
Am I right?
I guess I'm a virgin too!
Why don't we go by plane?? private jet!
Also... Stormey is in Belgium?? I thought she was in Germany or in Netherland... don't know why...
I'm soooo in that plan (specially now that my awesome plans with my awesome bf are over )
from all the people you could have chosen, you chose André who flies Europe to see Jamiroquai Lucky person..
I never flew to see Jamiroquai!
I always drove by car or took the train!
My apologies Ophone, I will virtually bow in your presence..........you guys who have seen JMQ are in a class all your own. Sooooooo envious!
Ophone (Andre'?) is from Jamirotalk.net. Welcome back here!
This is where you go to find people who know and post everything on Jamiroquai!
They post interviews, concerts, covers songs, lyrics, every single release ever, and misc. stuff on Jamiroquai!
Aah! many hours by car to be at a concert... even if it's a Jamiroquai concert... you're brave!
