Re: Sydney - New Years Eve 2011Tee hee...I tried to enter but I didnt realize the competition wasn't for the whole world ![]()
Re: Sydney - New Years Eve 2011
I was actually wondering if the competition was just for people living in Sydney/N.S.W. since there were no flights and accommodation included in the prize. But I didn't see anything that said otherwise so still entered! I wonder if there is a winner yet? ![]()
Re: Sydney - New Years Eve 2011
Did they announce?
Re: Sydney - New Years Eve 2011Does anyone know if it will be possible to watch this show live in the UK? If so, where and how can I watch it? I'd love to see it and I know that it's being broadcast on pay tv in Australia but I have no idea if it will be possible to watch it here in England. If anyone can help I would be very grateful, thanks!

Re: Sydney - New Years Eve 2011
I haven't been able to find an announcement of the winner on the website. ![]() Not long to go now! I am a little sad that I can't be there.
Re: Sydney - New Years Eve 2011I sent an e-mail to the Sunrise website asking who the winner of the competition was, but no reply (no surprises there).
Jamiroquai are in Sydney (woo-hoo!), they had their soundcheck today. ![]() Looks like Jay is enjoying his birthday: http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=8396701
Re: Sydney - New Years Eve 2011well, I hope they all get Jay's New Years' resolution (wish?)
![]() What kind of resolution is that? Well, I suppose anybody's real thoughts!
Re: Sydney - New Years Eve 2011
I don't think it is Jay's wish....he could have it everynight and twice.....I think Jay means he is going to make a concerted effort and set aside more time for it ![]()
Re: Sydney - New Years Eve 2011Does anybody know if it's possible to watch a rerun of this concert anywhere online?
Re: Sydney - New Years Eve 2011@jamiroquai01fan - sorry, I don't know - I'd love to watch it myself. I don't have pay tv, so couldn't even order the concert to watch at home.

Re: Sydney - New Years Eve 2011Did you guys hear Jay say......."I was 42 yesterday.......and I sure feel 42." Thanks for finding these CosmicLea,..I sneaked a peak of these @ work today.

Re: Sydney - New Years Eve 2011Yes, I heard him say that too, curse_t! I'm sure there were plenty of girls in the audience who wanted to kiss Jay at midnight!

Re: Sydney - New Years Eve 2011
Did he actually say that?...I was just noticing.....
Re: Sydney - New Years Eve 2011No kiss?
![]() Watching some of the concert. Gotta love the green coat and purple(?) feathers! just the colors we were talking about a while back! And always love the backup singers and the brass! And the best was "Love Foolosophy" at the end, but coulda done without the cricket/whistler! Last edited by Giba7 on Wed Jan 04, 2012 4:09 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: Sydney - New Years Eve 2011I agree that tweety bird shoulda been taken out by Sylvester...... ![]()
Re: Sydney - New Years Eve 2011Yes, that whistler was very annoying!

Re: Sydney - New Years Eve 2011I edited!
Great performance on "You Give Me Something"! It's one of my favorite Jamiroquai songs! ![]()
Re: Sydney - New Years Eve 2011I edited too! Though you didn't really need to, hun!
![]() I love seeing "You Give Me Something" played live and the brass sounded great!
Re: Sydney - New Years Eve 2011LOL! I just found this on youtube. I think Jay Kay may have been a little bit drunk at Sydney festival. But this shows once and for all that he's just a normal guy, he's not afraid of being seen in public either. No body guards here haha. What an absolute legend!

Re: Sydney - New Years Eve 2011
I noticed a guy in a white t-shirt and baseball cap on backwards, who seems to be hanging out with Jay (but it looks to me like he is looking after him) in most of these videos and photos (there are more vids and photos in the Jay Kay photos topic.) Maybe this guy was hired as a bodyguard for Jay in Australia ![]()
