Waiting for U.S. Tour

Talk about concerts promoting the Rock Dust Light Star album in 2010 and beyond...

Yes Giba.....nice answer. I just think the world is too censored @ times....you need to be true to yourself and if someone does not agree with your views on the world and won't listen to your music.... than so be it. I don't think Jay needs to censor himself to appeal to the mass.....I don't want him to be the biggest thing in music anyways.......just big enough to tour near me

hahha!

I would love to see Jay on the Daily Show. I'm not saying to not be himself or hide his views.
He and Stewart would probably be fast pals! But Jon would exploit anything political and humorous.

When I first read the back of Dynamite I laughed so hard at the comments!
because he said that and because I agree.
But it's sad to see the impact a leader can have.
And when I listen to "The World he wants" its' not funny.

Some of Jamiroquai's politics or stances are very serious and hits me in a certain way.
I can't say what I want to say correctly, so I keep editing this comment!

i could picture him being on the daily show, and also on the bill maher show.....i wonder if jay and other bandmembers share similar views since they do work together in making music

besides from that, whatever can get jamiroquai on the american tv screens, that would be good enough to get them closer to touring :P

Well, no.. I don't know of the Daily show with Jon Stewart... but when I say "politics", I don't really think about environment or anything like that... Those are some "nice subjects" if you see what I mean...Nobody will contradict you if you say that we must take care of the Earth, for sure... No, when saying "politics" I rather think about things like... er.. geopolitics, governments, etc... sensitive subjects in fact. But well, I don't mean I don't wanna know Jay's views, just that when famous people start to give their views... that might get complicated.. sometimes...

well I think Rock Dust Light Star is about rather than focusing on the micro conflict between countries and religion, focus on the world and the imminent collision of stars.

precisely
but more power to ya if Jay shows up on the Daily Show!

So, some guy posted on the Jamiroquai FB page that he was hired to play in the US tour and the next album!
I think he plays trumpet and is from Texas.
I found this on their FB page yesterday. Don't know if it's legit.

And found the Vignale wagon on Funkin.com!
I can't keep up on all the stuff.

That sounds very promising!

And the next album -awesome! If JMQ tour the U.S. (and it sounds like they will) I really hope they'll come and properly tour Australia after that too.

i really want to believe what that man is saying is true and is not telling a lie just to self-promote his music

we need a reliable source to confirm whether or not this is true

I hope Jay and the band reads this forum...

If the reason that RDLS was not formally released in the US is due to political reasons, I urge you to be a part of the solution rather than just alienate the US. I would have to imagine that if political disagreements were justly motivating tour date decisions...there may be several countries the band has toured to that would be checked off the list for various reasons (just sayin').

This guy is killing it across the country right now...listen to this.

hey, I was trying to welcome cosmickid first (Curse_t!)
I had to log out before I finished!

Allen Stone sounds fabulous!
and yes, I too hope the reason Jamiroquai hasn't come to the US is because of political reasons.
Our country's actions doesn't necessarily represent the people's voice. :?

i don't quite get how politics is the reason they have not toured north america, unless it deals with personal views, visa or something else...if other brit bands are touring here, why can't jamiroquai?

i think it has to deal with financial reasons (compare the popularity between europe and north america)
however, that still doesn't mean they should not tour here

yes, hope it's not any political reason. Could be just the market.

But I do think Jay could find his wife here in the states!

I'm glad you like Allen Stone...totally amazing. My point wasn't just a plug for Allen Stone...it was to point out that there is some funk/soul fellowship that needs to be happening here in the states. We have Galactic, Soul Live, Nikka Costa, Karl Denson, Chromeo (Canadian I know...but they are here!)...could you imagine a show with Jamiroquai teaming up with one or all of these performers...would blow peoples minds!!!!!
