This situation of "waiting" really reminds me the times of "Dynamite" when we were like two years expecting and having those "no news" days...! They are now "free" if we can call it like that, and are able to record their stuff on their own! I just hope they record it all live and stop abusing the computers and synthesizers.. I'd like to hear a very loud brass section and more drums/percussions on the tracks! Strings have always been amazing in Jamiroquai so they can keep it the way they are! I don't expect anything like "Traveling Without Moving" but I hope they record something mixing old and latest stuff! Jamiroquai is an eighteen year old band, so professionalism is wot they got the most! Paul Turner and Derrick McKenzie are the greatest bass player/drummer combination since Stu left the band so they are able to do the greatest music! Matt Johnson, Rob Harris, Solá Akingbolá and Jay Kay are amazing musicians too, so, they can take away the "commercial" side of music and make something more "organic" and "natural"...! I really believe Jamiroquai must adopt the "Abbey Road" power and sound they had that 2006! "Runaway" was just incredible with the live strings section and the brass! So, they have it, they just have to use it! That's the real combination and that's the way Jamiroquai should sound everyday! Those years between Stu's departure (1998) and Nick Fyffe's one (2003) were terrible for the bands line-up, now Paul Turner looks stable, and it really looks like he's gonna stay for a long time in the band! So, they can establish their sound and use it forever to create new things. The band also looks so stable, and they can use that for their goodness! Those are my thoughts for the new album! I still believe they will impress me with a new album (and its really hard I can say haha) so this is their chance! Keep on Groovin' people!

I'm just watchin' the Jazz-Café gig in 2006. I hope they adapt that style on the new album.

Well, it is in the works, a new album! They are lined up for several festivals this summer. They have to have a new album out this month!
And I don't care what previous album it sounds like. I just hope it sounds good!!! I love it all: funk, groove, disco, rock, jazz, R & B, techno, blues, hip-hop, bee-bop... Whatever, just send it out, when it is good and ready! And I won't compare the new album to old ones, I'll just stick it in my CD player and listen!

Mate, I couldn't agree more. I've bought every album they've released and will hop on this one as soon as it hits the shelves here in Oz.

I don't really know what to expect. Something new to listen to. All I ever seem to do (still) is listen to Jamiroquai - I know I should try other stuff - but I keep coming back.
(It's weird how the spell check on here doesn't recognise the band's name!)

The band has stability -hope that helps the music. Yet I really loved the 2001 album, A Funk Odyssey!

Emmm... I don't want something like A Funk Odyssey or Dynamite - weak albums for me. I'm glad to know that new album less computer based than previous efforts. More horns!
