Getting e-mails for topics "watched"

Postby CosmicLea on Fri Apr 20, 2012 12:16 am

A few days ago I started getting e-mails in my personal e-mail account from "the webmaster" regarding topics at JPP i have been "watching". The e-mail seems to be sent after a member posts in the topic. I'm not sure why this has been happening, I didn't request it, and it never happened before in the 8 months I have been posting at JPP. I tried unsubscribing to all the topics that were listed as subscribed to in my profile, but today there were 5 topics that had been subscribed to again (and so I got more e-mails).

Can anyone help? The e-mails are annoying and spam-like.
Thanks in advance!

Go to "User control Panel" > Board preferences > Edit posting defaults

there should be a "yes" and "no" for " Notify me upon replies by default. Tick "No"

let me know if it works!

Hmmm, it doesn't seem to be completely working, I still got 2 e-mails yesterday. I checked my "subscriptions" in the User Control Panel and 2 topics had been subscribed to, even though I had unsubscribed to all topics the day before.

Very strange!

It's good at the moment - I haven't received any more e-mails in the past few days!
