Think about it... it's perfect. Jamiroquai can go back to the roots. It's a win-win situation. Fans of AFO and Dynamite get theirs. Old school fans get theirs. Everybody is happy. And Jay is the happiest. He can take part in making acid jazz AND disco, pop, rock, house whatever and release it under separate names. Jamiroquai will be as Jamiroquai is supposed to be (acid jazz) and Jay Kay can produce whatever music he fancies at the moment.

Fans can enjoy Jamiroquai. Groupies can enjoy Jay Kay.

It's a win-win situation I tell ya! Especially for Jay and the band since this will most likely yield even more sales since some fans will buy both Jamiroquai AND Jay Kay releases.

u kno if jay kay did do that it would be sweet coz finally we could get rid off all the groupie trash at this forum! 8)

they would have there own forum to goto considering its jay all of them want XD

Hello,

Hmm...with the Maroon 5 bashing aside ( Let's be honest, they don't stink as much as they let on, they are just letting themselves be abused by their record label by the overpromotions and their reluctance of recording a follow-up album  ) , doesn't JK COUNT as a solo artist now given how many bandmember changes Jamiroquai has had to succumb too? But that's the marxist side of me speaking, to be honest, I prefer JK never to stray into a solo role, would only cause more frayed relationships with bandmembers. The new additions and old subtractions from Jamiroquai all made worthy contributions to Jamiroquai's album sound of the last +14 years, and to have JK go on his own would disvalue the last 6 albums worth of Jamiroquai's discography....he ain't no Robbie Williams. That's just my thoughts, and I still readily pine for the day when JK leaves that bloody undepromoting juggernaut of Sony/BMG and starts his own record label, dub it Quai Records and put all the newest Jami goodies onto CDs and send them worldwide to fans via mail OR even E-mail! Thanks for listening and Peace!

Sincerely,

I reckon if there was no band the music may not be as good, I think of the band Savage Garden when they slpit and Derryn Hayes went solo. I thought because he was the lead vocalist his music would always be good regardles of whether he was part of a band or not. I was mistaken his music now, is crapola. The Band must stay

Exactly.

Hmm, you know, when Virtual Insanity hit the airwaves, I assumed that Jamiroquai was just one person. :?

I think I'd still like him.

I like anybody who delivers good music, whether they're solo or in a group.

i think jay will always perform with a band and because of the way he goes about his business i dont think he would ever release an album as a solo because he isnt like people who play with the same band for years and still release stuff as there solo

i think even if jay did a track on his own he would put down the artist as jamiroquai

my dad believes that if jay kay made a solo career ppl would listen to Jay Kay and not to the rest of the band.
i certainly would listen to Jay but i'd still love Jamiroquai but it wouldnt'd be the same i mean , i'd like to know how would jamiroquai be without Jay.
